Mastercam 2022 tutorial - Introduction

Welcome to the #Mastercam basic #tutorial. This tutorial will help you to explore Mastercam’s interface. This tutorial includes a broad look at the #Mastercam2022 interface, including the ribbon interface, Customize quick access toolbar in Mastercam 2022, Selection bar, Quick Masks, Status bar. Quick Access Toolbar (QAT): A customizable set of commonly used functions that is always available in the interface. The QAT can be located above or below the ribbon. Selection bar: A toolbar that combines Autocursor control and general selection tools used to select entities in the graphics window. There are two selection modes, standard selection, and solid selection, which are activated based on the function you are using. Autocursor controls allow you to detect and snap to locations as you move the cursor over geometry in the graphics window. Quick Masks: A group of controls that helps you to select all entities of a certain type, or to select only entities of a certain type. Most quick mask controls are divided in half. Clicking the left or right side of the control toggles between selection modes. When quick Mask control is selected it highlights to indicate the selection mask in on. You can toggle multiple quick masks at a time. Status Bar: A bar across the bottom of the workspace that shows the coordinate position of the cursor and provides quick access to modify the cplane, Tplane, WCS, and Z Depth of geometry and toolpath in the graphics window.

Customizing Autodesk Inventor 2021 Marking Menu - Autodesk Inventor 2021 Tutorial

Here with in my series on Autodesk Inventor 2021 course FOR beginners. In this Autodesk inventor training video, I will look at customizing the Marking Menu. This is the radial menu that you see when right-clicking in Inventor. The contents of the menu depend on the type of file you have open (part, assembly, drawing, etc.), as well as whether or not you have a command active or anything selected. This offers me all of the tools I might need based on the context. For this reason, it is sometimes referred to as the context menu. The menu appears with the mouse pointer in the center of the radial top section, with the idea being that you can quickly select any of these tools by simply pointing the mouse at it and picking. But what if this menu doesn’t contain the tools you would like to see there? Why you simply change it, of course. As with context menus, the marking menu contains commands specific to the current task. For example, in the sketch environment, the marking menu provides sketch commands, such as Center Point Circle, Line, Two Point Rectangle, and Finish Sketch. A shortened context menu (sometimes called an overflow menu) appears either above or below the marking menu, depending on the cursor position in the graphics window. In the part modeling environment, the marking menu provides commands such as Hole, Extrude, Fillet, Work Plane. In the Assembly environment (not available in Inventor LT), it provides assembly-specific functions like Constrain, Place Component, Move Component, Rotate Component. Except for Inventor add-ins, the marking menu is available in each of the Inventor work environments.
